The Nurse/EHS Specialist is responsible to provide medical care, deliver safety and health training and coordinate wellness activities. The RN/EHS Specialist will focus on pursuing innovative ways that directly impact the employee's well-being through facilitating several safety, emergency and equipment training programs as well as incorporating wellness strategies to create an overall health enhancing work experience.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Provide first aid and follow-up care to employees with physical complaints and assess the need for internal treatment, or whether an employee needs outside medical attention for work-related and personal medical conditions.
Coordinates wellness activities such as Lifestyle Management, Weight Loss Programs, Workspace redesign focusing on fitness, Stress Management, Smoking Cessation, Flu Shots, Tetanus Shots and education on generic vs. brand name drugs and education on network vs. non-network doctors or hospitals.
Ensure compliance with Land O'Frost, Inc. Hearing Conservation Program, including hearing test follow-up with Audiologist or M.D. as required.
Conduct proper protocol, conduct drug and alcohol screening for new hires and for active employees according to the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
Maintain all OSHA recordkeeping, supply inventory and lists, training schedules and tracking, and biohazardous disposal.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
Legally licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Arkansas.
Proven ability to present critical information and safety and health training programs with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Computer literate and experience with records keeping requirements.
Must be a certified trainer for CPR/First Aid/AED within six months of employment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
